Paper Cuts

I left a note
for a man
that I had traveled
miles to see

"Hi Charlie

I was here and you were gone,
now you are here and I am gone.

Read and weep and wipe!"

toilet tissue
was my choice
of paper

Short, sassy and unbelieveably sweet. This had a wonderful poignancy that held not only buk's voice but something beyond mere nostalgia.

    An excellent entry.

    clever

Interesting approach. Liked the idea and compact writing. Always more challenging to write short!

just make sure when you're leaving your "note" that the train is not "passing" by - passengers may get more than they bargained for...

What a fitting comment, Charlie was known to moon folks at times, I mooned him once from beside the tracks, I guess I was as crass as he was.

I just finished reading a large selection of his poems and I can see myself as one of the ladies tapping on his door.
