I told myself it wouldn’t happen again
That I would not fall
I wouldn’t let go of the ledge
I’d set my life and hopes on
I wouldn’t throw caution to the wind anymore
I’d play it safe, and hold on tight
But..
Then you came along
A whirlwind
Too strong for me
To maintain my grip
You knocked me off
I fell through the air hoping
That you would catch me
Praying for a soft landing
Thinking…
“its all a mistake”
I hit the bottom
Slammed into the ground
With such force
Enough to break me
Into millions of pieces
Thinking…
“this is a disaster”
This time I had a soft landing
I fell into your arms
Warm and safe
I knew instantaneously
That this, right here
Is where I belonged
Forever
Held tight with compassion
Thinking…
“this is new”
I clutch you
Clinging on for life
Knowing I can’t lose this…
Perfect Disaster
uh... hmm?

Ker-Plunk!
haha thats the noise I'd hear if I fell, glad someone caught you in this poem though. It has a genuine flow and captures the reader from beginning to end, the whole concept of falling really ties in well and doesn't get lost like something I would write and, in the middle I thought it was going to be a tragedy but then I scrolled down and AHHH! fresh air someone not writing about misery and for that... I applaud you!

I guess that's why they call it 'falling in love', you have to take the plunge and hope that the person's going to be there to catch you just as surely as you would catch them. Very sweet poem! =D I loved how you said 'perfect disaster' at the end
GREAT job
diggin it majorly
