The slothful hideth his hand in his bosom; it grieveth him to bring it again to his mouth.

And lo,

I was taken up

even unto the penthouse

of an high building;

and there was

The Man in the Black Suit;

And verily said he unto me,

Kiddo,

never action today

what you can re-schedule

for tomorrow.

And verily replied I unto him:

Amen. You got it, Chief.

    Excellent Choice

    Thank You, I am glad someone brought some humor to the contest. Yes there has always been procratinaters even in Biblical times. I Guess sometimes there is a fine line between laziness and procratination. Thank you for the wonderful entry. A pleasure to read. Best of luck.

    It amazes me how Solomon aced human nature 3000 years ago. Apparently, you are remote viewing a civil service office. No one in a competitive capitalist office would speak that way!

      One would get one's 'arris kicked for talking "git-speak" in a Civil Service office round here!

      One can never be TOO cool. The late Steve McQueen knew this.

    I think you have actualized this in a most proactive and poly effective manner
    the scenario you have painted has been run up my flag pole I shall wait to see who enters into saluting mode.

    In fact I think I can positively state, although this has yet to be cleared by our legal eagles, this assemblage of verbiage is almost entirely devoid of negative influences.

        This response explains why it is only in the realms of poetry that you get to call the guy in the penthouse "Chief"

    You've got a decent streak of irreverent humour in you--this appealed to a kindred spirit.
