a glimpse

in a large crowd i saw but a glimpse of you
cloudy but yet the sun shines through
could it be fate that i have found you
is it true happiness between us two
i was lost and afraid before
but your love has me asking for more
are you willing to stand besides me and fight
for joy, trust, and laughter with all your might
by being too caring towards you my friends get at me
but your soul next to mine i am thankful you see
i need my hero standing tall besides me your gone for too long
you know the difference between life, death, right,and wrong
you can feed my soul with desire and health
your not harsh but you challenge me and are mighty stealthy
thats the person who i want and need besides me
a person like the glimpse of you in your uniform, i see.

    Sometimes a single glimpse is all you need - you wrote an entire poem around this one single glance which shows how inspiring it was -
