Laughing with the Angels

I caught myself thinking of you
While staring out at the lit sky
I swear theres another star glinting
Brightly winking down at me, is that you?

It came so suddenly
I'm just happy I could say goodbye
Crystal tears slide down my cheeks
And I wonder,
Are you laughing with the angels in Heaven tonight?

You could always light up a room
With that bright smile of yours
Something I'd never forget
You made a huge difference to me

The night canvas reflects in my eyes
I'm over the shock now
You always wanted the best for me
So I pray that your laughing with the angels in Heaven tonight

I miss you so, but I remember
How blessed I was
Just to know you, and love you
You'd scold me if you saw my tear-stained face

You said to live my life to the best
Stop crying, no more tears
We'll meet again, and I'll be older, but still yours
I know that your laughing with the angels in Heaven tonight

Author notes

This was for a contest, but I also wrote it for my grandma..she was sick, and we all thought that she would be gone soon, but she's still alive *smiles* I actually had to close my eyes and stop writing for a second because I got emotional. (which never happens) To all those who have lost somebody, I'm sure that they don't want you to be sad. Live your life, so you won't regret anything when your time comes

This is so beautiful, it brought tears to my eyes. I've lost my sister, but I know too, that I can't live in despair, Kayde wouldn't want that. You did a great job. All the best in the contest.
