She doesnt say much
But the few words she does
Your soul they'd might touch
Her mouth she does not open alot
She sits and listens to others
LIke a child when her parents fought
Told of how she really felt
Not a word to say other wise
Or she'd get the belt
Today she still speaks not much
For fear of what's right to say
But in poetry you'll find a bunch

Bravo well done
Great job I simply loved your poem. Feeling the emotion you wrote it with. The true test of any artist is to draw the reader, listener, or admirer in and feel the art. You have accomplished that ten fold. Congrats on your silver, Boog

Oh my this surely sounds like your heart speaking. Your writing speaks volumes even though you don't audibly speak your heart, your written word does it for you. Good luck in the contest. I truly felt this poem in my heart!

What a wonderful job you did on this one! I am sure many will be able to relate... I know I do. But why should we be afraid to speak? That is not right, nor is it fair.
Best of luck in this contest!
and love
