Window Pane

I jump out of bed happy and excited

Pull up my window, pleased and delighted

Watching the breeze move

And hearing the birds sing

Waving at new neighbors

And doing other things

Like smelling the sweet nature

Coming inside of me

And listening to a buzz

Of a silly old bee

There's lots of things to see

On the other side of the window

Like watching butterflies play

And stare at the hollow meadow

But now it's time to go

And get ready for today

I'll save and cherish

The other side of my window pane

"The other side of my window pane" What a great line, very evocative.

    Nice write, so upbeat.

To me, the lines are kinda broken off and it disrupts the flow and beauty of the poem. but, who am i to critique, i do the same thing.

this is really cute. I love the imagery and the wording. it's a cute little piece and I can picture it all. I remember just recently looking out my window in the morning and seeing a little finch come by. Nature is wonderful and delightful. nice piece.
