I was enchanted by your beauty
beyond what any words can say.

I was so, absurdly shy.
I stumbled on the words
I was trying to imply.
The first time we dated,
I was trying to do my best
to be on my 'Best Behavior'
so you would be impressed.
The first time we kissed,
there was magic in the air.
I savored the sweetness of your lips
and the passion that was there.
The first time we embraced
in the act of making love,
could only be described
as a miracle from above.
You were everything and more
that I expected you to be.
You became the essence of my life
that I had searched for endlessly.
The first time I fell in love,
it was glorious and new
and I am ever thankful,
that I fell in love with you!
