There’s a place in your heart that all mums know
Where the love for your child begins to grow
Dreamy days filled with anticipation
You’ll wonder what’s caused this preoccupation
Longing to feel them move from within
Compels you to pause and savor each thing
Marveling as your tummy expands
Craving to touch such small, tiny hands
You long to feel the soft weight of them
To welcome them home with kisses on head
There’s so much to see through new little eyes
You yearn to now comfort their soft, weary cries
At last you gaze on their angelic face
Feeling the touch of heavenly grace
Finding a place in your heart you realise
The love for your child will forever abide
