Oh moon upon thy darkened sky,
moving unearthly across the sun,
Blocking out her vibrant rays,
For just a moment of Earth's time,
Once in so many year,
The endless darkness lasts only a moment,
then back you are my moon,
to your lonely position,
in some darkened corner
of the ink-black, starless sky,
