Coloured pools of gray and black
Swirl monochromatic rays of
Dull and dank sunlight through
The windows of a dark shaft
That another could pine for this
Insufferably lifeless being
Is as surreal as my toes slipping
Over the edge of the buildings I dream of
At night
Boredom sheds bright light over the
Paintings I spent hours on
So intricately designing with the passion
I lost to this tragic disease
I suppose this was expected
Twas the ending to my mother...

You definitely got the feeling of depression through here, which is kind of hard, because depression is more than a sadness, it's almost the lack of feeling, a kind of hollow thing. I think the second to last stanza was my favorite =]
