Down the cliffs and to the sands,
is where I walked with empty hands.
But calm was the sea
that still afternoon,
as she pooled behind her curvature
and pondered,
and then,
withdrew.
She hadn’t feel,
to come to me,
and so she slowly lifted her tide,
pulling back,
and, looked away.
Perhaps she didn’t want
to disappoint.
Perchance she just wanted
to hold back the bottled message
I threw,
for just a little bit,
longer.
Or maybe,
bodies celestial,
just needed to get,
a little bit more aligned,
and closer.
I don’t know.
And so I stood there,
drowning,
in time,
a time with no owner,
just grinning at future’s
drollery,
with nothing
but me,
and passion’s patience,
and,
the balmy hush,
of your memory.
Nothing is as far away
as,
one moment ago.
No the beginning
of light,
nor,
the end of darkness.
How many
seconds
do we have left,
for our all,
together,
how many precious breaths,
born in one,
and gone in another,
that we’ve been given,
will be wasted,
without
each other.
How many more chances,
laying softly,
in between,
in every silent moment
in the whisper,
of your screams,
will we have,
to breathe each other’s breath,
and taste,
each other’s life.
How many more chances
will you be able to
hold deep within
the warm coursing
of my, legacy,
in the probing,
of your, depth
and meaning.
How many more gasps,
can you endure
not exhaling.
How many more
satiny nights
of yours,
can elude
their rapture.
How many more
thrusting unisons,
sweat, and sighs,
wrapped up loins,
and silky thighs,
can you miss,
in the mix,
of our,
culmination.
We only have,
so many moments
to give.
We only have,
so much love
to live,
and still we flitter it
away
like so many
broken sand dollars
that our hearts
cannot repay.
Sometimes love is felt,
with the absence,
of touch,
and yet still
it can last lifetimes,
until it is realized,
by fate’s kiss,
and against denial’s
crutch.
Each day we teeter,
on fortunes edge,
balancing logic
against desire,
aloft the sole promise,
of the
lover’s pledge,
to which the lonely
of all hearts,
desire.
Come to me
to our shore
of dreams
your pink
horizon
and,
brilliant beams
splayed out,
so glistening
ocean spume,
in shimmered gleam.
Although this life
we may not meet
still,
taste the flesh of my fondness,
in your wake
and sleep,
deep within you.
As you listen to the feel
of pressure’s squeeze
in your heart
and on your knees,
I am your pulse,
I am your blushing cheeks,
I am the flush on your chest,
I am the fire,
of your underlying,
thirst,
and internal desire.
Listen to the secret whispers
within your ear
that linger,
and just won’t leave,
as mine won’t either.
Heaven is soul.
As is our spirits,
our feelings,
our memories;
come with me
as we
rediscover fire,
our fire,
our sea of flames.
Come,
to me where our shadow
will always be shared,
and be with me
as the makers
of our creation,
and the authors,
of our,
future.
On this,
the beginning
of our past.
This,
the start,
of our eve,
of our,
everlasting present.
Come with me
to the other side,
of mirage.
Come lay with me,
in the shade,
of our reality.
Someday you’ll know
that I was the one,
for you.
Far away,
but one,
inheart.
As it is only
circumstance,
that is keeping us,
apart.
Ours is the story
only time,
can tell.
The tale of two
the soothing song of a,
love so true,
that played the winds,
and hushed the words,
on how this day,
and all days,
I more
than,
love you

Wow, this is the longest poem I've ever read but I'm glad I did as it was quite elegant and pensive, just as any good love poem should be. Well done and all the best poet!
