Make a beautiful bouquet
Your smile is so radiant
It blows my thoughts away
Your laughter is so sweet
That I'll never take away
The scent of roses sweet
That come in dazzling bouquets
Author notes
I don't know why, or how, or... when the thought popped into my head looking at the default picture on "Light of God"'s profile. (I know, a lot of people will be confused. But she IS a good writer, despite us having totally different beliefs.) It's her in this really pretty formal dress with white and red flowers in her arms. The red flowers were roses, most noticeably in the crook of her arm that reminded me of a bouquet of roses.
And of course, I was looking at her closed contest she hosted to boost her spirits, and one line was "am I pretty? What flower compliments me?" The next thing I knew, I'd hit "Add" and started typing. And....voila. It's not the best thing in the world. Corny and cliche at best, typed from the perspective of a male (totally a 1950s male in my mind, standing on the door step) on the night of his very first date with, apparently, his dream girl with the radiant smile.
Say what you want. I probably will contemplate deleting this in a few months, anyway.
You know the drill-- keep it professional, keep it honest

This is a very pretty poem! And I love the background by the way, very fitting.
I don't think you should delete this at all. It's very nicely written and it's beautiful
