I got used to living without you
So when you came
I felt so afraid
Because endless choices of
Heart ache returned
And nothing would be the same
So you kept moving while I hesitated
And you held out your hand
Only to find that
I never waited
When I fell alone
I learned that I didn’t need you
I'm sorry I wasn’t there
But you weren’t there for me
I heard that you were doing just fine
You’ve got a new girl
And I’ve got my own life
But I keep dreaming of the times that we were
And I can’t help
Cry for the recalls
So you kept moving while I hesitated
And you held out your hand
Only to find that
I never waited
When I fell alone
I learned that I didn’t need you
I'm sorry I wasn’t there
But you weren’t there for me

I liked this too
Could completely identify with it and in fact I think that most people could because whether it's about a lost relationship, a broken friendship, a falling out in family etc this could be applied to them all. The general message was clear but not 'bitter' which can often disturb the readings of some poems. Bravo to you; and best of luck in the contest

moving on is the hardest part. but eventually the pain grows less. great job. good luck in the contest
