Evil rising,
justice drowning,
Here and there,
All around,
Evil rising,
Good drowning,
In a black hole,
our society dug,

Peace drowning,
Wrapped in the arms,
Of grieef and sorrow,
Waiting on tomorrow,
Evil rising,
Remedies drowning,
Calling out,
To the heavens above,
Looking for answers,
With our guns loaded,
Our hearts guarded,

This is based on a picture for a contest. I think this is one of my few dark pieces I have worte in a long time. This is what i got from the picture. I saw it as a symbol of what our society is making of our world and how there seems to be more crimes and evil out there now.

Beautiful, powerful write. I liked how you had the bad stuff in society rising and the good stuff in society drowning. Seemed to be a good reflection on how society is these days, with the wars going on and sometimes it seems like there is no end in sight for the end of the wars.
