I'm thinking of that one quick second
the one where your eyes
took over my body only briefly
as you took my hand and smiled.
My black tank top was worn
and the white straps of my bra
made me only look silly.
My jeans were ripped
and frayed around the edges.
My glasses were on[I actually
remembered to where them today]
You told me thet made me
look like a librarian
which apparently is now the new sexy.
II.
When you kissed me my body sparked
and strained for you to take me deeper.
But we were in your roommates driveway.
The sun was going down
and my curfew was too close.
It's ridiculous that I'm on this leash
[isn't that what you called it?]
But you were smiling down at me.
Teasing me.
I've noticed it's become your habit
You're making me crazy.
III.
The lights are low now
and your truck engine hums
in the back of our thoughts.
You're kissing me slowly
as my curfew finally hits the mark
[I can tell you don't want me to go]
Reluctantly i climb out
and you're smiling at me again.
That's become your habit too.
Some silent joke in the back of your head.
One I'm sure you'll never let me in on.
Even now, while you drink
with all your buddies
laughing and having a great time
And you're thinking of me.
I'm somewhere in your thoughts
[I'm smiling now too.]

I know how you feel; you don't want to fall, but you do... as it feels so glorious and yet so painful. You sound like you've got it bad though, God do I know that feeling *cries*. Man I love is messing me about & I have no courage to tell him, I can't put up with this anymore, cos he probably could just walk away. Beautifully done.
