A lonely lighthouse,
Where silence is a curse.
Who is the one in isolation?
Constantly watching people go by,
But never having any contact.
They say darkness makes anyone flee;
But here it is the light,
That guides humanity away.
An overwhelming loneliness,
That pulls anyone back.
Such a burden to bare.
But along with pain,
Comes incredible strength.

'Tis sad that the strength we need to meet life head on is often born in pain. Well constructed and well done.
I can feel the last two lines.

Very well done
I loved your take on the lighthouse, standing strong and directing with such a heavy burden. Bravo. Good luck in the contest. Boog -
The last stanza really did speak to me
I can reflect on that strength
Thank you and best wishes to you in this contest
