The thunder promises
Sweet, safe violence,
Like the last man I had.
The tightening in my chest
Feels like the more dangerous
Breeds of love -
Frenzied impotence,
The lines between
Shock
And awe
And terror
Blurring in wind
Strong enough
To sweep me away,
Just like he promised.

Oh dear. Yes, that's not so simple. Simple in a way but not really. Well worded description of disappointment.
