Hope is what gets you through the dark night.
When in the tunnel, it is the bright light.
Initially it seems so very small,
You may wonder if there is hope at all.
Faith is what keeps you pressing on.
It gives you confidence, there will be a new dawn.
Even in your darkest hour, faith keeps hope alive,
and gives you confidence that you will survive.
Fear creeps in as down the tunnel you run.
You wonder if the light is a train or the sun.
Hope and faith will keep the seeds of fear from sowing,
Instead of fear, hope and faith keep on growing.
By keeping hope and faith alive,
to the end of the tunnel, you will arrive.
At this point hope and faith will be overflowing,
Fear will be gone - it long ago ceased growing.
When you exit the tunnel and into the light,
You will realise you were safe and all right.
For the bright light was the sun always,
and you will enjoy a multitude of beautiful days.

This is a beautiful poem! It flows so fantastically, and has such an inspiring message! I agree with you say about hope, it is truly important. When we lose hope we have nothing left. I really like the way you wrote this, it's a damn good poem!
