The pause; ice cold fire
The fire; a spark that breaks the cold
So we struggle through the morning
and the crystal frosted sills,
waiting for the moment to take us home,
away from the conflicts we keep.
You breathe, and decimate me;
the burst of a trigger's trip,
the powder that sends the bullet
through the heart that I will give.
Blood; the flow that holds our life
Love; once sworn as living's point
We would detonate here, certainly,
if only to remove the conlficts within
because dynamite is dynamite, no matter its face,
but here with you I am short of breath.
So let the morning explode bright on us
and let the sun run its course,
from radial to radial
to eradicate this choking dust.

Truly grips with emotion and impact while
disguising the fact that a word bank was
employed. Excellent alliteration and imagery
to blend with the prompt. Congrats. Blue
PS~slight typo at conflicts

Word bank? WHAT WORD BANK? Oh my. Such a beautifully profound verse that incorporates this tricky word bank and touches on the image with genuine honesty.
So let the morning explode bright on ME to eradicate the choking dust. After all, tomorrow is another day.
I am tickled and delighted with this wonderful entry. Bravo dear poet. This is just what the contest ordered. Thank you for such a beautiful gem. It is perfect.
Best of luck in the judging. ~Pamela

Haha, word banks are some of my favorites, and the more difficult and obscure the words, the more I enjoy it. One of the most exciting (in my mind) that I ever did was a word bank of fifty words, words such as tangerine, morphine, kismet, darwinism, Rubicon, etc. If you'd like to read, the poem is here;
