Your words knife through me
flaying my heart
leaving wounds that fester
and won’t heal.
Crimson rivers of pain
course through my mind
and leave me
weak
defeated.
unable to walk away.

Wow. The last line was so sad. If someone is repeatedly unkind, walk away! Walk away! Life is too short to suffer. Very well written. This packs a real gut punch.
