A honeycomb and ginger in a cone
It's made with clotted cream down Devon way
In company or when you're on your own
You really ought to eat it every day
Or maybe I'll have strawberry instead
That's lighter though a rather shocking pink
The only food on which the gods are fed
And perfect with a ginger wine to drink!
Now I am off to search for an ice cream
The only food that's better than a dream

Wow!
What a combination! Ginger and strawberries...don't think I could do it, but then again, it might be worth a go. Cute poem! There's another prompt, too:

Boffo!
Delicious.

"down Devon way". Like the local feeling you created in those few words. Like the rhymes and like the appetite for ice cream I had after reading it the first time. Honeycomb and ginger in a cone -- makes me feel like heading for the UK.
Thank you for entering. -
Playful stuff.
(I'm a vanilla girl myself. Don't laugh!)

Mmmm ok I understand the Devon thing for I have a friend who lives there and she is always raving about the cream. I think she moved back from Australia because that's what she missed the most. But the ice cream is one I haven't heard of..tub of what???

-
If it's a tub of Loseley's ice-cream, count me in, it just melts in your mouth Mmmmmmmmmmm
Nice little rhyme

clotted cream and ginger,
a man in a colorful vest,
hmmm, decisions decisions,
I can't decide which I like best!

Ginger ice-cream is wonderful, after the last of it has left your mouth it suddenly tastes warm!
