Clicking the power button
on off over and over again
as if it was a song of its
own...
Softly pushing the volume
button to make sure that
i'm not imagining the gentle
melodies are no longer vibrating
my eardrums
Pieces of me are forever trapped
in the lyrics of every song that
whispered out of my speakers.
Time and time again i still reach
for the stereo remote praying that
my first and only love has returned
to rock me slowly with its harmonic
voice.
Alas its just my imagination playing
mind games on me.
Silence roams the halls, dust collects
onto the record players, CD's are burned
alive...sending tiny screams of heaven
in the cloud smoke.
I breathe it in, it's all i've got now...

Music is definitely NOT dead.
music will always be around, whether loud or soft, whether hard or gentle. Ever since humans have discovered that certain noises have a rhythmic pattern and sound, there it has been and always will be. It comes from our hearts and souls.
