America

                            AMERICA
There has never been a better place to live and work and play
Than the land that I call home, yes these United States
Never one to travel much, at home I love to be
This country and her citizens you really have to see
Our hearts are huge we always help whoever is in need
For this we usually take a beating for all of our good deeds
I never said we were always right, but you can count on us to try
To lend a hand, to try to free we send our folks to die
For this we get a cold hard slap for meddling in the world
But no one counts the people saved, the little boys and girls
They vote against they call us mean the world treats us like dirt
Who’s the first one they all call when they need help from all the hurt
America’s a wonderland; her people are the reason why
I can’t imagine the world without her; I would not want to try
