In the pebble-stones I walk,
drifting the sweetest of melodies
to where your voice is the echo, the sound
that brought life to this slowing heart
so might I breathe, might I live
to kiss your lips that spoke
once upon true love, our love
for always.
As the honey-sickles tickle feet
letting aromas drift into the soul
boiling brew of longing, to stay, remain
twined to my soul's mate, heart's beat
my one and only you.
For the moon might cry
giving birth to the stars
so you could find your way to me
tumbling down the driveway
where resides our path in bliss
for your smile is my greatest joy
and there I await to see.
Might eyes befall to another's
and our hearts pound as one
to long! to brace! to be!
for the world is nothing
it is you that renders my tongue.

I wrote a love letter which I thought is beyond words, I thought it was beautiful until I started reading yours. Oh, how marvelous is this write. It is swift, sweet, liquor, wine, I don't know what else to say, but I simply adore your words weaving here. I can read it for days and I still find contentments in it. I saw the title, and it captured me, don't understand why, but it did. I read the first stanza and it just made me think this is amazing, yet as it went on it stayed that way, if not improving with each and every word. It's absolutly beautiful the imagery is wonderful and makes me think of the person I love. A wonderful poem well done and good luck in this contest.
