Revenge of the Statues

Years of neglect showed on the weary faces
trusted guardians of marble creations cemented in place;
a  darkened world eclipsed by sun and moon
electrically charged sky bolts strucking at high noon,
breathing life, warming stone hearts with a smile;
stiffly they move, awkwardly walking in single file
disappearing into bushes ancient bodies begin to moan
been so long, hard on these old bones;
giggles of excitement, ‘My turn, you hold it”
living statues revenge, pigeons all covered in sh...it!

    Love the line: trust guardians of marble creations-
    For years I wondered-...why do pigeons do graffiti on these Innocent statues
    Oy!! They don't get arrested and charged
    but then they bomb humans too- so it is like...
    Hmmmmmmmmmmmm~
    sadly in some countries-
    they are on the menu talk about punishment
    for their crimes
    Excellent take on the prompt
