Cascading Stairs into Uncertainty

Down, down, into the dark abyss.
Cascading stairs with twisted cracks
Descend into uncertainty.

This man, this ghost, he takes my hand.
A plastic face adorns the skin
Of a hidden person beneath.

My mind...overcome... a voice like an Angel's
Cannot think...
The Angel of Darkness...

A vast lake of misty glass reflects
The flitting of waxy candles.
Oh, what a voice!

An angel has taken me,
Down into the dark.
He's there, the Phantom of the Opera.
Beware, the Phantom of the Opera.

I've never seen Phantom of the Opera but this is a great write anyways. Even without knowing a thing about Phantom of the Opera, I can see that you are a very talented writer and you should keep writing, as long as your heart and your head allow.

Nope, never saw it, but I've read half of the book, though it's not vivid in my memory.
Okay, anyways, back to your poem: I thought you started off strong with good imagery and superb word choice, but in the middle it seemed a little weak, as if you picked the poem up and finished it another time. It's not bad or anything, it's just that the first part has more imagery and flow, which the middle lacks. Don't worry, though; that's easy to fix. Never mind that, and I thought you did a GREAT job with this! Normally I don't like poetry based on movies or books and stuff, but this was enjoyable to read--I liked the emotion and the mysterious feel this poem had to it! Great job. I look forward to reading more of your work. :-)
