Some names stick, and these two did
Mine was Poncho and his, The Cisco Kid
I knew from day one that he was lighting quick
Took me under his arm, was always his sidekick
As we grew older we learnt to be tough
Life in the saddle can be awfully tough
Cisco hated anyone that would break the law
Gunfighters were amazed at the speed of his draw
You`ve heard of Wyatt Earp, Billy The Kid and the rest
They have nothing on Cisco he`s simply the best

Yeah but he had one mighty pretty looking horse,.
All the entries so different and enjoyable yet there is a common thread of the innocence of childhood. Brilliant take on the prompt.Good luck in the contest.

A nice, simple piece which matches the prompt fine. Nice meter, nice rhythm. Good luck in the contest, you have a fine entry.
