On this day where we
Pledge each others lives
To one an other I wanted to tell you
What you mean to me.
You are my everything.
You've stood by my side all this time
Through thick and thin, and I know
You will always be here.
You are my daylight when I feel down.
You are food for my soul.
I love you more than I love life
And that sure means a lot.
When you entered my life it was a surprise.
I definitely wasn't looking for love, let alone marriage.
But after a few years I asked you to be my wife.
To spend old age with me.
And to watch the sunrise and set forever and ever.

aw super sweet great work

hi again,
just back to leave my thoughts, this is a super job i love how its written in the words of the groom or my husband to be, if only he could produce something like this for me..
anyway at the start i hadn't realised what i was looking for but now understand that a poem not in the words of the bride or groom is actually what i want as it will be read be a friend on the day, but apart from that minor issue this piece is very deserving of a place and i wish i could reward everyone!!
thankyou so much for entering,
Much Love,

Very nice ; reminded me muchly of 'Sunrise, Sunset' from Fiddler on the Roof; a song which I love bigtime.
"to spend old age with me" - second last line was lovely I think, I'm not sure why, something about the way that it is phrased is just appealing.
Nice job - and best of luck in the contest
