So many children have died
to the corruption of abuse
that society has been blinded
by
No longer wanting to live
to escape the pain they feel
Can you blame them?
No more sunshines or laughter but
painful tears they cried.
How many more chidren trying to
survive?
But ended up in unbelievable lies
and degration, starvation emptiness
besides no shoulder to cry on or
anyone to trust
Too scared to reveal the truth
sleeping anywhere including roofs
just anywhere, but home where the
torment wins and tears flow from
the source where it has all begun
from...
to the corruption of abuse
that society has been blinded
by
No longer wanting to live
to escape the pain they feel
Can you blame them?
No more sunshines or laughter but
painful tears they cried.
How many more chidren trying to
survive?
But ended up in unbelievable lies
and degration, starvation emptiness
besides no shoulder to cry on or
anyone to trust
Too scared to reveal the truth
sleeping anywhere including roofs
just anywhere, but home where the
torment wins and tears flow from
the source where it has all begun

Thank you for this piece and your stance on child abuse. Children are the most precious gifts we have, and home should be the one place they are safe no matter what. Too often this is not the case, but the very ones who are suppose to love them most cause the greatest pain. This fight is something I hold very near and dear to my heart! Please continue your great work. If only one child is touched it will be worth all the effort!

This is a painful and emotional write that speaks a powerful voice for abuse victims. There is so much truth in your words here. I know as I lived this abuse when I was a child. The more voices we can gather, the louder we can shout for these innocent children. Too many just turn the other way, not willing to get involved. Great job on this poem! Blessings, Patty
