The Crooked Tree

Missing image
I'll know it when I see it; This is sure.
I'll know it by the way it's branches twist,
I'll know it by it's trunk and half-sunk roots,
I'll know it by the sweet surrounding mist.

I'll know it by my half remembering
I saw it in a long forgotten dream.
I'll know it by my heart awakening,
To trickling waters of the sister stream.

And
I'll know it by the hill on which it stands,
So green and so surreal against the sky.
The gem of the surrounding, rollling lands,
I'll find it and I'll touch it and I'll sigh...

If I must search the world hill and plain,
And scour through books and old age tinted text,
I'll find it, and if it's not on this earth,
Still maybe I will find it in the next!

Please tell me what you think

Excellent. I wanted to live in that poem... just be there searching too, and if not in this life, then yes indeed, perhaps in the next - or possibly home. ~Bramble

    Outstanding

This is lyrical with a nicely developed theme and subtle rhyme. The flow was brilliant and I liked the wry ending. A great short poem.

Mysterious, arcane, esoteric, but so finely done, as, indeed, are all of your pieces! bravo..bravo... bravo...
