three little words
easy to say, yet misunderstood
for if those words didn't exist
would we be able to express
the true desires in our souls?

beautiful bride of my soul
with just a touch, a look
an adoring smile, a tender kiss

your eyes glow
their intensity glistens deeply
looking into them i know

    In The Simple Things

    Life and love are not played out in the complex circumstance but the simple plain and direct. Simple actions with simple words "I Love You" powerful communication meant for two and mutliplied for many means peace not hate!

    I like this alot. I have read your work in the past. I also have recently read work by your wife. At first I thought that the reference was one of those AP things. I see now from visiting both of your home pages that she is your real life wife. I have paid attention to the words that you two have written to each other. I enjoy the sincere expressions of love that you share with each other on here.

      I have to smile...Yes, I know what you mean about these AP families (seems most community sites have them). I'm not really sure why we say that we're both an AP & real life couple, but yes.

      Thank you for your comments. Lisa's an incredible woman. I've been inspired by such AP writers as PrabhuDayal Khattar & TomisB who write so dearly about their wives and it's such a wonderful way to communicate. I think more husbands/boyfriends should express their feelings this way - when you see your woman's expression after reading how you feel about her, seeing in writing...It's like no other. You really connect.

      thank you, my friend! i greatly appreciate your comments. it is such a wonderful feeling! she shows me in so many ways, i enjoy writing these for her. it's absolutely incredible seeing her expression when i surprise her with something like this or even a 30 word quickie that i dedicate to her! of course, those late night quickies tend to eat up "couples" time lol but she loves to watch me write.

    Oh, it is so true that these words need not be spoken when love is true. I think your words convey this message so well. This is an exquisite write and beautifully penned. Lisa is a very lucky girl to have a love like this. My absolute favorite stanza and the one I can relate to so well is this one:
    "your eyes glow
    their intensity glistens deeply
    looking into them i know
    without one word - no, without three
    that you love me, so passionately"
    I knew long before the words were spoken that my Luis loved me by the look in his eyes as we walked on the beach. This is such a beautiul poem and one I wish to read over and over again. Good luck in the contest. Not that you need luck when you write like this

      thank you for your comments. the contest this was written for had already ended before i featured this - i don't think it's fair to others if you feature while it's in an active contest. this was originally written for PrabhuDayal Khattar's contest, "i love you," and it received an HM. i did enter it in one of my own contests because it fit the category, but i did not award myself lol

    Congrats on your HM well deserved, i am honored you wrote this for me. With that spoken softly, i must say this is so very true. Just a look, a smile can convey love...knowing this from a boy who can't move or talk from a car wreak, his love can still be felt.
    As you!!! know love doesnt take words... true love comes from the heart.
    Although these beautiful words to me are recieved with joy! As you have blessed my day as you do everyday in many ways.
