Hey there little girl hiding behind your mask.
Drawn on a big smile how false and surreal .
Your darkened eyes covering unspoken trails.
Your hair sweeping all around the hidden parts.
Each out of place hair representing every fear of yourself.
Whispers of self hatred sep into your thoughts,
drumming, pounding, slowly dying each day.
For you have been darkened, thrown away.
Soft words spoken so sweetly, leave your sensual lips.
Craving ears to be listening so considerately.
So many questions hitting you so sharply.
Wanting, longing for it to all go away.
Crying out to be that ‘normal’ girl once again.
But the mask is engraved, so strongly to your face.
Loitering choices swirling around.
Swishing soft sounds slowly seeping.
Voices being heard, gnawing at her.
Head banging, body breaking, screaming for something.
Alone on the floor, huddled ever so tight.
Here comes the rivers of pain drowning her each day.
Swallowing harshly down the pain she feels,
to draw on her smile for another day.
Pretending all over again that she’s okay.
Her life of lies will kill her someday .
As she walks on still broken to pieces.

I really liked this poem, it's deep and gives the feeling that you mean more to it than even what a reader can perceive from it. I loved it, especially the last stanza:
Swallowing harshly down the pain she feels,
to draw on her smile for another day.
Pretending all over again that she’s okay.
Her life of lies will kill her someday .
As she walks on still broken to pieces.
LOVE IT! excellent write. good luck in the contest i hope this wins.
