Sounds of the ocean
opening the pores
amount to cleansing
purifying the mores.

opine with words;
ask for wisdom
pontifications seldom heard.
Still, it is obvious
only one source has proof;
alas, for all man's knowledge
perfection lies in truth.
So, cast down the towel
o'er covering the grime;
and God will complete,
purging souls clean with time.

Nice acrostic, I think they are a brave form to attempt sometimes. Some of the Psalms were acrostics in their original Aramaic. Good overall scan & flow with a message. Nicely done.

Thank you for your kind words. It is hard to write these without sounding sappy and forced at times. I hope I have done well.

Only God

Well done, dear poet.
