Counting my blessings, you come to mind:
my everlasting friend and poetic mentor,
gifted upon my soul, an angel of mercy;
my brother of life, completing me whole.
I thank you for your friendship true
for you shall always mean very much to me.
Your compassionate spirit and kindness
understanding, loving ways, shared so free;
always sending a smile from your heart
to all you meet across the many miles.
As tears fall, I would lift away your burdens
share your sorrows, wipe away your tears
If ever you need me, I'll always be around,
to bring back the laughter within your heart
If I could catch a falling star, I would just for you.
share with you it's beauty on nights you're feeling blue.
Let me be your rainbow upon your rainy days of sorrow
just as you have always been upon mine.
My dearest friend when I think of you, I smile.
I think of all the days shared, joyous and pained.
I love you my friend with all of my heart and soul.
Friends, together, till the end is what we will be.
