When I fell down you picked me up
When I did it again you shook me
Back and forth this went on
No matter how long it took me
When I said I couldn't
You taught me that I could
When it was really bad
you made it really good
When everyone else gave up on me
You were standing there
When I hated everyone, even myself
You were the only one that cared
When I lied and stole from you
You understood and forgave
You let me come back time and again
To keep me from my grave
You pushed me the hardest
To make me who I needed to be
You saved me from all of my enemies
Most of all you saved me from me
I can never repay you for what you've done
Though I try to every day
It seems the only thing I can do
Is look at you and say
THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING

This is a powerful testimony to what real love is. Sometimes when we have been hurt so badly in life, we test others to see if they will really stick around. I know this from personal experience. You are blessed to have this person stick with you through everything, and to know that you are loved unconditionally. I know that is an amazing feeling.
