Oh God please scour my sins within
And soap away my fears
Please cleanse my soul and make me whole
Whisper into my ears
I beg forgiveness, plead for grace
From you, and you alone
Your mercy in abundance flows
From high up on your throne
Oh God please cleanse my soul for you
Let goodness flow within
Once cleansed give me your guiding grace
And keep me free from sin

Wonderful Plea
This is beautifully written in sentiments all should embrace; and, except for the first line at 9, the meter is maintained as 8/6: I believe "scour" is two syllables, so you might want to adjust line one.
Also, I suggest that any words referring to God, such as you or thine and soforth, should be capitalized every bit as much as we do capitalize His name.
Nevertheless, one never can go wrong when singing God's praises and writing to Him such lovely words: for then one is a winner on all counts.
Much love in Christ, BonnieQ
