Fragments of my soul seemed to fall away,
I am simply disappearing bit by bit.
Tears well inside with no known cause,
Just a sadness too deep to put into words.
"No....everything is fine, no problems at all",
I am just ceasing to exist, piece by piece.

I couldn't have expressed this better myself and it's as if you spoke the words for me. This is amazing. When I read some of your profile I thought your poetry might resonate deeply with me & I was right. We've been through some of the same type of life trauma! I'm so glad you won the gold for this was deserving & such an appropriate write for the prompt & a great pix to boot! 
This is the quintessential write of depression, avoidance & denial. Short write packed with tons of emotion & vivid expression! Bravo.

I weep with you.
Yes, only God knows why our emotions seem to plummet inexplicably in the middle of a sunny, Saturday afternoon in July with a cool breeze blowing by. We feel like we're just melting away and no one really notices but we wouldn't know what to say if they did. It's a great description of that feeling. Somehow we survive without knowing how.

"I'm just ceasing to exist piece by piece". That verse is the strongest in this poem. You convince others everything is fine when it is not because you don't want to be a burden to others. Congrats on your gold trophy. -

I used to constantly relate to this:
"Fragments of my soul seemed to fall away,
I am simply disappearing bit by bit."
Thankfully, that has turned around.
However, I do still relate to this:
"Tears well inside with no known cause,
Just a sadness to deep to put into words."
Sometimes we just don't know what causes that deep sadness.
