Never ending

It began long ago
A child,
Looking at others,
Those whom they used to call elders
The way they talked –
Of big things,
Making decisions, bold and great
Doing things he did only in dreams or play
Adolescence was just one more torrid whiff
And the flames grew high
The thoughts of being someone
Someday, someone great
Heroic, like him or her
Mind grew and emotions melted
One by one
Pods of serenity, shame, truth
Grew into the trees of unmanliness
The inhuman factor,
Took over slowly and gradually
Climbing higher, higher
Crushing those beneath
In the way
And it continued
After decades of mindless race,
Wisdom refused to speak
Unknowingly one day
Wrinkles showed and hair grayed
Someone else took his place
Trying to be like him
Heroic, doing great things
Someone else crushed him
In the process of climbing higher
Pushing him back to his loneliness
But still it has not ended
The thoughts of being someone else
Still fill his mind and dreams
He still feels the same way
As he felt when he was a child
He’s still running
The vicious circular race,
Unknown to the fact,
That it is never ending.

    Mast hai...
waise i needed to read it twice to understand!
    But that is my problem!!
Knowingly or unknowingly we all become a part of this blind race.
