The sun dosen't wake the city,
She never went to sleep.
The day just moves along,
With her people at her heels.
As time moves on another shift comes in,
They just step into place.
One set going home,
While the other now in the rat race.
Evening shadows begin to hover,
Street lights try to recover.
Fear still lurks both day and night.
Crime gives life a sneer.
At last the town is black and white.
The city puts on her lovely show.
From the lights there is a golden glow.
He beauty is reflected as the water only knows.
