America the beautiful
She is marred from so many scars
She tries to hide from the world outside
The biggest secret lies below her eastern skies
Men are pitching the trees
Bringing America to it knees
Using big machines to drill
Planting explosives in her hills
To blast away her fertile top
Everyone who bears witness begging them to stop
The company sounds the alarm
to signal the harm
that is about to occur
Just for the allure
of the Almighty Dollar
Its enough to make me holler
For a little black rock
We are willing to mock
Our ideals of life, liberty and pursuit of happiness
To take advantage of America's largesse
This destruction should be a crime
Denounced by all mankind
Citizens of this land, take heed
If we dont stop this, we will be punished for this deed.
The problem is that not enough of us are aware
Of this silent tragedy, this silent warfare
The people of America would not stand for this blight
So the more people know, the more people will fight
And that is what keeps my hope alive
That here in America we work and we strive
To make our home more equitable, more just
And when realize that a corporation's lust
is destroying a national treasure
We will not stop at anything to stop this measure
So rise up with me, my fellow Americans
And lets claim once again our beautiful Appalachians!

Awareness is a people's most powerful tool...
and sadly, Americans have been blunted by
media, greed and a twisted view of what the
American dream is in reality. YOu have a clear
voice here, and your efforts are appreciated. Blue
