I would love to forget
About the pain you give
To me everyday
No matter where I am
Your hateful words
Run in my head
Over and over again
Like I never got away
“Can’t you do anything right?”
“It’s your entire fault!”
“Then you should know better then that!”
I would say to the voice of you in my head
“I tried,”
“I didn’t mean to,”
“I’m sorry,”
You were my birth father
You couldn’t give me
Love instead of hate
I hate you so much
I don’t refer to you as dad anymore
The hate inside grows
Every time I even think of you
I would give anything
To get you out of my head
I hate you for walking out
Even more for the visits
I hate you for your lies
Even more for verbal abuse
Above all I hate you John
For your wife hitting me
You could have told her off
Instead said nothing at all
I hate you John
For all you put me through
You should have been there for me
Instead you took the easy way out
Though all these years
I still hate you I will for all my life
Imagine there isn’t anything
You can do about it I hate you
