Wash away my sins with your sodium tears.
I gave it all up
for you.
His hands plastered to the kitchen window
palms creasing to the glass.
His eyes, insight to happiness
Happiness only the strongest can hold.
His body slumped over the steering wheel.
His hands white and cold. The chain that held his
faith dangling in the space between the death car
and his heart, no longer pumping life.
His smile fading into the night sky.
His blood the only thing still moving.
I can't forget your memories
how you tasted in the Spring.
No more daydreams, no more hopes.
No more drawings, no more memories.
They say I'm a blanket of black,
a fading ghost, a whisper that is hardly
audible.
The future held a locket full of potential
He, the one and only.
I drive past the graveyard. I died with you.
How do you bury a soul?
Author notes
Being unable to move on after death.

It is writes like this that hinder me from holding back tears..again, I cry. Your words pierce the very heart of anguish and I feel for you with the deepest of compassion. I understand your feelings. Thank you so much for your entry.

This is a sad and heartfelt poem. You have done very well. I can feel the pain and anguish in the words you wrote.
