let peace come to you

be positive
be kind
be true

to yourself
to others

don't get captured
by the passing struggle

let peace come to you
and let it come to others
don't force it on them
it will come

treat them like reeds or flowers
don't bend them
they're not bonzai trees

Author notes

I thought a self effacing lack of capitals and punctuation might be appropriate for this piece.

    Having freedom in peace as in any other civil right, I agree with your line about not forcing peace.
    I would have liked to see a specific moment as an example.

    As a verse, this speaks well of positive change.
    Of knowing real influence must come from within.
    The imagery of reeds and bonzai works well to bring
    your point across. As a response to the theme, it
    falls a bit off course as you relate more of what
    may bring peace to others over a period of time
    rather then giving us a glimpse of personal peace
    in a moment. Blue

    Well the piece is nice enough but the contest calls for you to find your own peace 'in the moment' rather than on what it means to others..to look inside yourself at what defines you peace.
