Out Of My Grasp

Soft spoken heresy
whispered contemplative state
wafting dreams slipping through
machismo derived fallacies

Searching your visage
from varied heartless cunts

Still can't find solid surface
to land my desire
to anchor my fantasies

My fixation on you
leads me to seek warmth
seek flesh anew

Yet it will never be enough
never warm enough
never pleasurable enough
never joyous enough
never enough
never...
you

I had to look back at the picture to understand how these words and that image tie in together, and now I know how: by instinct.

It took very little time to connect to this poem--I too understand the nature of desire, how furious it can be, how frustrating it is when your heart is with someone who seems galaxies apart from you, but the flesh and the mind are so impatient and need distraction. I think many of us are guilty of that, but even the strongest among us may not be able to resist an offer of the here and now.

It won't be very much longer. One day your arms will enfold the one whom you so desire in your embrace--and she will never let go.

    Until then...

    Many blessings,

    Raven Aurora (morenita linda)

Very unusual interpretation to the image. I was extremely impressed with the shape of your poem. Difficult to do, and still use non-repetitious words. "machismo derived fallacies" , a wonderful metaphor! Thank you for your entry and best wishes.
