Dearest Eric,
Every night I sit and stare
Beyond the mirrors painted glare
Eyes transfixed upon my heart
My words of hatred sting like darts
Take upon my words of old
When love was young, and I was bold
Stronger, wiser, all while trying
To fight the cold and keep surviving
I cry and cringe my heart is heavy
As I feel the ache of dread upon me
The tiled floor chills the pain
An icy embrace made only in vain
Thoughts are racing through my head
As I contemplate the day I’m dead
Scars mark my sacrificed journey
As I cough up blood from internal bleeding
Leave behind everything and take my hand
Says the voice cutting my final heart strand
Tears, blood, and vodka tonics
Can’t hide the thoughts that seem bionic
Falsely implanted, coming as though planned
Negative thoughts are the ones left to stand
So don’t hate me for leaving you
I’ve survived without a clue
That what really matters in life
Isn’t the way you survive strife
But the way you take on the problems
And fight until the world crumbles.
I love you, always have and will
Don’t give up fighting you’re too tough to kill
I love you, never forget
For when my hands are cold, I’ll win the bet.
Death is nothing
Love is everything
Live, love, laugh
Don’t worry
Now
I’m
Found…
Author notes
This is a more... 'conformed' version of a suicide note i would leave... if the time ever came.
