for not being or staying happy.
for not feeding you in the best ways.
for abusing you when emotions ran high.
i'm sorry for not being the kind of person you wanted to grow up to be.
i'm sorry for sticking it out with the wrong people && losing all the right ones.
i'm sorry for all those nights you've cried yourself to sleep.
i;m sorry, self.
for not finding you quickly enough.
for hiding you behind a blank stare.
for not using you to your potential.
i'm sorry for pulling you away from others.
i'm sorry for letting you become something you shouldn't be.
i'm sorry for always letting you down.
i'm sorry for having your shoved behind this sad excuse for a soul.
&& i'm sorry that little-girl dreams always get annihalated.
i'm sorry, self.
you never deserved this.

    Great poem. It seems as though every person is really divided between their mind and their heart. Things you think may be right, don't necessarily feel right.

    this is beautiful I can relate to all you've said but I must say do not dwell on what you have or haven't fone simply move past it and try to better in the future. I have been down this road infact I am still going down it, you have put into words such strong feeling hopefully you can move on from what has caused you pain and embrace life....you have an amazing talent keep writting

    Oh, I like this a lot! You portrayed your thoughts in such a sweet way, and it made me feel as if you regret what you've done and you are willing to change, and I like that. Just remember to capitalize your I's.
