Big splash
of aqua
bursts of red
and rubber-ducky
yellow-
laughter died down
after sundown
left the neighborhood
owl and Mrs. Geisbrecht
to question
who
was all there.
Author notes
My sister-in-law snuck some rubber duckies in my pool yesterday~ and we do have a neighborhood owl, and a busybody, that constantly question. My lawn chairs are candy-apple red.
Critiques not only welcomed, but encouraged.

I'm comin' over to your place! We will drench the busybody and drink cocktails on your candy-apple red chairs

I can see it now!

HEY! That was my rubby ducky! I want it back lol
You are so awesome!!!!!!

-
lol I am with Liza, I wanted to be Kermit and sing that song too!
Damn I love it when friends make it a hoot and the busybody is really just jealous cos she missed out!

I love this little poem Kathleen. The line at the end is choice because it indicates that there were so many there- or they were coming and going so frequently- that it was hard to keep track. Just the right size for neighborhood fun.

I love the colors here, and of course the rubber duckies, as they hold a special memory for me..well ok, not special, but funny (and now I ramble
)
ahem
I love to observe busybodies, but only when they are not observing me

I have this sudden strange desire to break out into
'rubber ducky, you're the one......
you make bath time ( pool time in this case )
soooooooo much fun..'
don't mind me.. lol I have never maintained I was normal
