Mama so tried to help me that day ,
and I screamed back and put on such a display.
Making my way more important than hers ,
and in doing so mamas words were unheard .
Too many times I slammed the door,
refusing to listen to her anymore .
I am all grown up now and don't need her any more ,
even though even I am not too sure
dont want to follow the rules and I walk out the door.
Babies grow up yet not aware of the world at hand ,
unknowing of the dangers about the land.
Together no more where once love took a stand .
{I later found I was wrong a bit too late }
Did I make a mistake and now what do I do?
Every day I pushed away the love from you.
Never did I realize it was for my own good,
In my defiance I never listened as I should.
Eyes wide open and knowing right from wrong ,
Did I take the time to see her love was so strong.
How will I fix it oh what shall I do,
even now I have a child within brand new.
Right I so felt I was back then but Mama today I need you .
Living takes more than just the play ,
on everything we do from day to day.
Voices return of a time now too late to make right ,
eventually if you dont listen tears shall fill your eyes.

When did you find the change in your listening to your parents when did you feel they wont let you grow up and make your own decisions . Oh I know I lived through it myself and that world out there is not all joy and good times it only takes one fatal mistake for your life to be turned upside down . To keep you from living through that pain your mom will do most anything to stop you and if you fight her and go anyway you will know of this pain for sure . For being an adult you will find their are cituations even the most well educated adult arent able to handle must less a teenager so please take the time to hear and understand what your parents are so trying to warn you about . For even as a adult you will find we dont always get our way just as you today want things your way . Its a time of learning of keeping yourself safe and

its hard to listen to parents all the time an especially when it comes to dating i think but Dads not preachy an tries to see my side so i dont really ever defy him an i listen to Moms advice when i talk to her but sometimes its preachy an the words just woosh away idk. i guess if we always did what were told we wouldnt be us just living some bodys elses us.
this poem touches on something huge that every body should understand is that parents do want us to be happy an safe an we should probably take what they say pretty serious unless its something stupid
this is penned beautifully btw. it follows a flowing story that builds into a gripping last line
