A Sky Aflame

A burning orb of living flame,
Sinks low in a canvas of burning blues.
The canvas darkens above the orb as it sinks,
But below it an explosion of fiery hues.

A divine hand paints the never-ending sky,
Mixing heavenly colors with its might.
Pinks and yellows, oranges and purples,
All swimming in one another's glorious light.

The glowing orb falls slowly lower,
The giant canvas grows silent and dark.
Gone is the glory that it once held,
Only stellar beacons with their tiny spark.
